Lumoship was founded to bring modern software practices to marine structural engineering. The maritime industry runs on decades-old workflows, custom Excel spreadsheets, and €30,000-per-year software licenses that small design offices cannot afford.

What we're building

Our roadmap is organized around three core disciplines — each addressing a real bottleneck in modern ship design workflows.
Structural Analysis
Beam-based analysis for ship structures. Grillage solver for hatch covers, decks, bulkheads, and stiffened panels — built on classical Timoshenko beam theory.
Rule-Based Design
Class society compliance and scantling calculations. Midship section design tools, scantling check modules, and rule-based calculations for DNV, LR, BV, and RINA.
Parametric Modeling
Rapid structural modeling, integrated with CAD. A Rhino-integrated plugin for parametric hull and structural modeling — the bridge between geometry and analysis.
